iSchools’ Project Closeout Series

The project that empowered 1,000 public high schools with computer laboratories and ICT-related trainings needs to be closed out due to many reasons. First, the project’s beneficiaries and sponsors need to evaluate what they have achieved through iSchools’ years of implementation. Second, the iSchools computer laboratory beneficiaries need to prepare themselves in managing, maintaining and sustaining the laboratories by themselves, making the closeout the best venue to discuss practices and common problems encountered over the course of the project. Modules to help kids blog, take videos reviewed for contest.

Five interactive learning modules that will teach schoolchildren how to blog and take pictures and videos underwent a detailed review workshop prior to being used for a nationwide participatory content development contest. The modules are a collaboration between the contest organizer, the iSchools Project of the Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT) and developer, Western Mindanao State University (WMSU).

PC Recycling 2.0 Closeout Activities Up Ahead!

The iSchools PC Recycling Component is right in the middle of preparations for the PCR 2.0 close-out activities. Six SUC’s participated in this round of PC Recycling training, and the closeout activities estimate at least a hundred participants attending.

The updated PC Recycling Participants Manual, Slideshows for training and Additional Reading Materials are now available for download. Schools who are interested in implementing PC Recycling in their campuses are welcome to download these documents and presentations. Click HERE for links.
